Turning The World Upside Down Part 2
Scripture reading Acts 17:1-9
Have you ever noticed that the world isn’t bothered by religion, but it is bothered by real Christianity?
The world is comfortable with faith that stays quiet, stays private, and stays out of the way. But when faith starts changing how we live, how we talk, how we treat others, and what we stand for, people start to notice.
In Acts 17, Paul and Silas didn’t march into Thessalonica with signs, protests, or political power. They simply preached Christ… and lived like they believed it. And the reaction of the city was not curiosity, it was accusation.
“These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.” (Acts 17:6)
What an accusation.
- They didn’t say, “These men are kind.”
- They didn’t say, “These men are moral.”
- They said, “These men are dangerous, because they don’t fit into our world.”
The truth is, the gospel didn’t turn the world upside down. The world was already upside down. The gospel simply exposed it.
